ENVISION AND EVOLVE

A NEW WAY OF LEARNING

Hello! I’m Dr. Ginevra Petrucci.

I am a solo performer, new music advocate and pedagogue. After my studies in my native Italy, I studied in Paris and finally I landed in the USA, where I studied at Yale and Stony Brook Universities. I have had the privilege of performing with many internationally renown artists throughout Europe, the US, and the Far East, and I have released over 20 solo albums (check out my Bio and Media tabs for more info!)

how can we benefit from a new model?

I have been working with students of all ages and levels for over 10 years, and I have come to the realization that the traditional format of weekly 60-minute lessons is not comprehensive enough to provide the support and tools that students need to find success in the professional world, or even just a sense of wholesome satisfaction in their effort - whether they are young professionals, beginners, or adults who want to rediscover music.

With the traditional system, I found myself wanting to expand the conversation with the student beyond the 60 weekly minutes, in order to offer technical, stylistic, or historical insight, to help establish a practice routine to train for audition prep, to suggest recording equipment setups or mindful practices, to open doors to find and join a community.

ENVISION AND EVOLVE

My new mentoring program offers materials, workshops, coaching sessions and performing opportunities that expand well over the weekly hour: in my studio you will have access to my exclusively curated Practice Guides video library; to your own folder of scores, articles, recordings and links complementing our current work; to monthly workshops with international guest professors, speakers, and coaches who will inspire you on a broad spectrum of topics (from flute repertoire to yoga for musicians, and much more!); to Topic of the Month video lectures with me, to delve deeper into specific subjects; to Studio Classes where you will have the informal opportunity to try out your current repertoire in front of your peers and get feedback - and all of this in a model formulated to not add stress, obligations, or additional deadlines to your already busy schedule!

Envision and Evolve: these are the key elements to creating a successful learning journey. We will plan your path, and establish the steps to achieve your goals. There is much more than instrumental learning in this system, and you will find yourself greatly enriched in life as well!

focus on how to be a musician

Your experience will be defined by a wider understanding of music making, and not confined to your weekly lesson hour. It is an opportunity to truly become one with your instrument and expand your musical horizons while also receiving hands-on practical training on how to be a musician - whether you need to learn how to approach a professional career, or you want to figure out what place music takes in your life and in the fulfillment of your goals.

My decade-long international teaching experience at the high school and college level, both at music schools and festivals, has given me the satisfaction of seeing many of my students going on to attend prestigious institutions in the US and Europe; I have brought young flutists from their very first note to successful school admissions, as well as helped (re)ignite the love for music in many adults who decided to start something new or to get back to the flute after having stopped for many years.

In each of these cases, I have strived to identify their goals and worked a plan together to reach it: I am excited to start offering my students a new, goal-oriented, fruitful and enjoyable mentoring program that focuses on results and sense of purpose!

The program aims at setting personal goals and achieving results through a personalized intensive 1:1 guidance, the contextualization of musical practice, and the exposure to inspiring stimulation geared toward growth and development

My teaching methods and studio structure will help you:

  • Create and sustain a technical foundation and obtain tangible results.

  • Establish a practice routine and incorporate healthy habits.

  • Own your musical voice, and become confident in your skills.

  • Prepare musically and mentally for auditions, competitions and performances.

  • Incorporate music learning into your broader life experience.

  • Envision your goals and work on a concrete path to reach them.

HOLD ON! WHAT IF THIS FEELS LIKE TOO MUCH FOR ME TO TAKE ON RIGHT NOW?

First of all, don’t panic! The Complete Mentoring Program is designed in a way that creates sense of purpose, commitment, and solid learning without overworking your schedule. What changes is the way you will employ your time, by varying and enriching what you are exposed to: the hours you will devote to music on a weekly basis will be as many or as few as your schedule allows and your goals require (no homework or assignments - just practice and inspiration!)

However, if you feel like this kind of commitment is too much to take on right now…

I have the solution for you!

By enrolling in my 4-months Light Mentoring Program you will receive:

• 60-minutes Bi-Weekly Lessons OR 30-minutes Weekly lessons with me

• Studio Class every two months

• Guest Masterclass every two months with international soloists, speakers, and coaches

Topic of the Month Workshops each month with me

• Access to select Practice Guide video library

• Access to select print resource library and auxiliary materials

• Access to personal folder with your materials and class notes

• Access to all lesson and select workshops video recordings

You get most of the perks of the Full Program, just with a lighter load of 1:1 lessons, a shorter time commitment, and more specifically focused resources!

Whether you’re…

  • a high school student getting ready for music school auditions or college music programs.

  • building your professional career & wanting to take your playing to a higher level.

  • needing coaching to contextualize music in your life, set your goals, and create a path to achieving them.

  • wanting to start playing the flute and a comprehensive, goal-oriented and inspiring guidance.

  • coming back to music after many years of gap (life happens!) and are looking for a rewarding and relaxed way to do so.

….my Mentoring Program options will show you that your goals are achievable, and design a path to success.

If you are wondering:

  • Can I juggle this program with the rest of my schedule (school, college, family, work)?

    • YES! The program is structured so that each student can benefit from the totality of the offer in balance with their other commitments.

  • Will the program be personalized on my level and goals?

    • Absolutely. During the free Discovery Session we will discuss your goals and I will propose a way to achieve them. During our 1:1 work my teaching will be entirely personalized the path we have established for you, and the auxiliary materials I will provide will be entirely customized for your experience.

  • Are the offered contents suitable for a beginner, as well as a professional, as well as an amateur?

    • The program offers different contents for any level you are at. According to your initial skill and goals, I will direct you toward specific Practice Guides that will suit your journey.

  • What if I have to miss one of the live sessions?

    • 1-1 lessons will be scheduled on your availability, and will always be made up in case you have to miss them; if you can’t attend a live Workshop or Studio Class, you will have access to the recording!

  • Do I need fancy technical gear or materials to fully benefit from this online program?

    • Not at all! Everything you need is a computer with a camera and mic, and an internet connection. Study materials that are not under copyright will always come from me. (You do need a flute!.. but if you are a beginner and don’t have one yet, book a Discovery Session and I will offer you options to purchase or rent).

  • How can I know this is right for me before committing?

    • Let’s hop on a call! I offer free Discovery Sessions to assess if the program is a good fit for you! Let’s get to know each other!

I can’t wait to work with you!
